In this workshop you will learn the fundamental Barista skills required to work in a cafe environment. Upon successful completion, you will be issued with a Certificate of Barista Procedures endorsed by Ground Control Coffee.
Introduction to working in the hospitality industry.
Overview of coffee making equipment and terminology.
Understanding the principals of coffee extraction.
Dosing, Tamping, Setting and adjusting the grinder.
Coffee extraction techniques and practice.
Understanding the principles of milk texturing.
Milk texturing techniques and practice.
Overview of different styles of coffee.
Techniques to assist when working in a busy environment.
DURATION & COST
The course runs for approximately 5 hours and costs $139 inclusive of GST. The course runs on the first Thursday of each and every month from 9am – 2pm
Due to limited class numbers, bookings must be paid for in advance. Your position in the class is not confirmed until payment is received (or purchase order from employment agencies). Bookings and payment are made through the Ground Control website (use link below)
